Blood Donation Program

In 2010, the Central Provincial Council and the Prime Minister’s Office jointly organized a blood donation program in collaboration with the Regional Economic Development Institute, alongside the Meda Rata Shraddhanjali Vesak program. The initiative was conducted in partnership with the Peradeniya Hospital Blood Bank. More than 50 individuals participated in donating blood. Several private sector businesses, including Unilever and multiple enterprises in Kandy, contributed to the success of this event. The Planning Division of the Central Provincial Council provided institutional support, ensuring the program was well-structured and successfully concluded.
